Susie

Susie is a friend of my wife/business partner Andrea and an intriguing woman. Away from the office, she is a dancer and an actress.

I enjoy shooting dancers because, like me, they are storytellers. I wanted to see how Susie would respond to the idea of having to convey an emotion or a story in a static moment instead of through movement.

I also like the idea of "ungracefulness". There is something real and beautiful in the awkward, the unguarded, the unposed instant.
