FAQs

What do you mean you can create a “unique piece of art?”

By combining Michael’s photography with Andrea’s digital artistry, we can take an image that you like and create a new piece of art.  As artists, we like being part of the entire creative process, providing the final art, not just raw material.  Click here for examples.

Can I use an image in a layout for approval?

Yes.  You can use an image from the site, just don’t remove the copyright info.  If you need something larger, call or email us, and we will send a file.

As you know, the same copyrights and laws that protect the work of publishers also protect ours.  We only ask that you treat our work with the same respect you expect for yours.

How can I purchase an image to use?

You can't purchase an image (that would imply a transfer of copyrights), but you can purchase a license to use the image in the ways that you need.  All of our stock images are rights managed.  Just let us know how you need to use the image, and we will work with you to structure a licensing agreement that works for all of us.

Why  is "rights managed" better than royalty free?

Rights managed means that we personally work with each client to find the best usage package for their needs.  We control the use of each image, and we don't allow 2 clients in the same industry to use the same image at the same time without their explicit knowledge.  This allows you to know that the image has not been used on a competitor’s title, which could be quite embarrassing.

Sometimes the same image will appear on the covers of two or more books.  And people do notice.
